Nutty Spelt Granola – Not so Sweet

Our nutty spelt granola still packs a big crunch, but isn’t quite so sweet as our original recipe. One of the big differences is that it’s made with spelt flour, which is much easier to digest and often tolerated by people who can’t eat what. Spelt is an ancient wholegrain known in Roman times as the ‘marching grain’ which gives you some clue as to its benefits! This speciality spelt flour adds a delicious, more complex flavour to the granola. The usual stars of the show at Yockenthwaite are all here too…hand-baked clusters of our freshly-rolled oats, and loads of cashew nuts, almonds, walnuts and sesame seeds. There’s no sugar added to this one, it’s just sweet enough made with a delicious drizzle of raw honey.

Wholegrains 52% (Oats, Wholemeal Spelt Flour), Nuts 18% (Cashew Nuts, Almonds & Walnuts), Olive Oil, Honey, Sesame Seeds, Sea Salt, Pure Vanilla Extract (Invert Sugar, Natural Vanillin).
